This series speaks openly about suicide, grief, and loss.
Please read with care, and step away if you need to.
These past months I've been quieter than expected. Life asked me to tend to family, deepen the work we hold, and sit with grief that had no quick words.
But silence is never the end of the story.
September is Suicide Prevention Month — and for us, it’s also a moment to pause, to gather, and to ask: what does it mean to carry grief together?
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing a series of letters. Not lessons or neat steps. Invitations to see the ruptures we often hide. To name what has been denied voice. And to imagine, even here, what rebirth might ask of us.
This will not be a solo journey. At the close of the series, I’ll invite you to come together for a live gathering because grief, when shared, becomes witness. And witness becomes the beginning of healing.
This is a threshold — A Kairos Moment — the kind of time where silence can either consume us or become the womb of what’s next.
When doves cry, we listen.
When our people grieve, we gather.
And when we awaken, we begin again.
In the next email: The Legacy of Silence, and what happens when grief is never given a voice.
